Publication Ethics

Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan Nusantara (CAWANARA) adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Further details on international guidelines and standards can be found on the COPE website.

Duties of Authors

  1. Reporting Standards
    Authors must present accurate and objective research reports with sufficient detail to allow replication.
  2. Data Access and Retention
    Authors should provide raw data for editorial review and retain data for a reasonable period.
  3. Originality and Plagiarism
    All submitted work must be original and properly cited.
  4. Multiple or Concurrent Publication
    Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
  5. Acknowledgment of Sources
    Proper acknowledgment of others’ work must always be given.
  6. Authorship of the Paper
    Authorship should reflect significant contributions to the research.
  7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
    Authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflicts of interest.
  8. Fundamental Errors
    Authors must promptly notify the editor of any significant errors discovered.
  9. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
    Any unusual hazards must be clearly identified.

Duties of Editors

  1. Fair Play
    Editors evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content without discrimination.
  2. Confidentiality
    Manuscript information must not be disclosed improperly.
  3. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
    Unpublished materials must not be used without author consent.
  4. Publication Decisions
    Editors decide publications based on quality, originality, and relevance.
  5. Review of Manuscripts
    Editors must ensure fair and appropriate peer review.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
    Peer review assists editors and authors in improving manuscripts.
  2. Promptness
    Reviewers should notify editors if unable to review promptly.
  3. Objectivity
    Reviews should be objective and constructive.
  4. Confidentiality
    Manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents.
  5. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
    Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest.
  6. Acknowledgment of Sources
    Reviewers should identify relevant uncited work.
